What happened?

We loved this app a lot, and even purchased the full version. A few months later the app stopped working. It just wont open. We now have 3 sad kids who miss their game, and 1 sad ASD kid who cant understand or handle it being gone. :,(

Good, but...

Its a good app to help kids learn letters, BUT what it doesnt tell you, is that only 5 letters and numbers are free. Their full versions are actually $5 and $7. Also, its not very intuitive, BUT left to a little exploring a preschooler could figure it out. Id like to get the full version because price shouldnt be a big deal to help with my childs education BUT there are a lot of other good apps out there for much cheaper or even free.

Great App

My kids love this app and it has really helped with letter recognition and good handwriting.

Awesome

When I first got this game(my mom and dad got it) I just loved tracing the as and the bs and when I got it it was 2009 and I was 4. So please do get this game I am shire you will like this game.

Great app for learning

I have an autistic child who loves this app. His teacher uses it at school and he uses it at home. He would rather sit and play this then some of his other more game like apps. The developer made the app fun and intuitive! Something kids with special needs or otherwise need to make learning fun! If you need your kid to learn how to recognize and write letters and numbers then this is a must have app!

Great app, but doesnt sync upgrade purchase to other iOS devices

Just a bit peeved that I paid for the full version after having my child test out the Lite version of app and now the full version will not sync on other devices. The other apps Ive downloaded the Lite version and upgraded and the full versions are found on all devices. So just be aware that if you think you will like this app download it to device you know child will only use before paying for full version.

Great but needs handwriting lines

This app is great. The three levels used for each letter are done well. Unfortunately it can be hard to follow the chalk board level without any handwriting lines. Besides, children will use lines in school so it makes sense to add them.

Great App

Love this app! Its a fun but very effective way for the kids to learn the shapes and sounds of letters while thinking they are just playing a game.

Great application !!!

Great app, good way for kids to have fun while learning!!

Wonderful

This is a great game! My kids love, but I do too.

Fantastic!

This is extremely engaging for my 3 year old. Its one of the only letter apps Ive seen that requires the child to actually both stay on the lines and form the letters using correct stroke order. The full version is on my list of apps I want to buy...just hoping for a price drop first!

Great

My 3 year old loves it, my 4 1/2 year old lives it. After they trace the letter it comes to life and there is also an option to trace it free hand. Love this app! Buying the full version now!

Awesome

Great app, both 4 and 6 year old play over and over.

Perfect!

My younger brother is nine-years-old and autistic. I downloaded this app to see if it would be good for keeping his attention. I have tried several apps for writing letters and numbers and this is the best one I have found. Every other letter and number writing app Ive tried would not keep his attention. He would write the letter or number then walk away, and then I have to call him back, get him to sit back down, and focus on the next letter. I downloaded this app and gave the iPad to him to test it out and, once he got the hang of it, he would not stop. He actually "wanted" to play, which still astounds me. He played it for thirty minutes before finally putting the iPad down and doing something else. He never plays any app for thirty minutes without getting up and want to do something else. So, if your child knows how to write the letters and/or numbers but you have a hard time finding an app which keeps their attention, I highly recommend trying this out. Like me, you may find it to be just what youre looking for and go and buy the full version.

Fantastic!

My daughter loves this game. I bought the full version! Well worth it!

Really cute, but a little tricky too

My twins are 2.5 and know most of their letters, so I have been looking for an app that would help them learn to write them. Of course they are still young, so I am not expecting a lot from them. I have tried multiple writing apps to find something that is toddler-ish friendly and well done. I think this app fits the bill. There are three writing options for each letter, the first one, it mostly draws it for you in a cute animated way, the second you draw it and then it is animated. The third is more freehand, nothing to trace, so obviously trickier for the littles. I like that if they are struggling it shows more prompts, as in one arrow, or a tracing arrow line. But it is still a title trick for those with less fine motor skills. My little one gets frustrated when he tries over and over and its not close enough to be accepted and he has to start over. But even with that, and only having a-e on the lite version, they both seem to like it. I have not bought the paid full version yet, but I am sure I will soon.

Educators Delight

I am a school administrator and have used this app for my preschool children. This is an EXCELLENT app! It is motivating and very reinforcing. It is also set up so that the child learns to write the letter correctly and can not develop incorrect habits. To the creators I say, "design more apps!!"

Absolutely the number 1 educational app ! ! !

As a teacher I compared different apps for learning how to write and this is definitely the best one! I love everything about it. The children who tested it for me stayed captivated for hours. I bought the full version already for my own children and I think my school will go over to purchase LetterSchool too.

Ok

So trying this out and it only corrects the child if they dont hit the initial point, the can scribble all over and it says it is correct.

Love it

We only have the free version but my 2year old son loves it. Im waiting until hes a little older to buy it so he doesnt get tired of it. I like how eventually the letters start to look like the kids handwriting. Its not just reference points as one user "pointed out" on the paid versions reviews- it evolves as your child learns the letters and numbers.
